Life can get overwhelming, especially when you’re juggling business, family, faith, and everything in between. During those busy seasons, it’s easy to feel like you’re running on empty or that you’re not getting ahead. But in those moments of chaos, we can find peace, clarity, and strength through the Word of God. Here are three scriptures that I turn to when life feels too busy, to help realign my heart, refresh my spirit, and remind me of what truly matters.
1. Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV)
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
This scripture is a reminder that we don’t have to carry everything alone. In a busy season, we can often feel like we have to be everything to everyone—but Jesus invites us to come to Him with our burdens. He promises rest, not just physical rest, but rest for our souls. When we turn to Him and trust in His plans, we find peace that surpasses understanding. Take time to pause, pray, and ask God for rest and guidance—His yoke is easy, and His burden is light.
2. Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
In seasons of busyness, it’s so easy to become anxious or overwhelmed. This scripture is a beautiful reminder that we can bring everything to God in prayer—big or small. When we do, He promises to give us a peace that goes beyond what we can comprehend. Instead of letting worry take over, we can choose gratitude and trust that God’s peace will guard our hearts and minds. Bring your to-do list, your stresses, and your concerns before Him, and watch how He fills you with calm in the chaos.
3. Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
When you feel like you can’t keep going, this verse reminds you that your strength comes from God, not from your own efforts. In the busiest seasons, we might think we need to push through on our own. But when we place our hope and trust in the Lord, He renews our strength. This scripture speaks to the supernatural endurance that God provides—He empowers us to rise above challenges and continue moving forward with His strength.
